Foo Fighters Tickets for the 2019 Foo Fighters tour dates are selling out fast!
Founder of the Foo Fighters Dave Grohl had already found fame as the drummer of the world famous band Nirvana. After the death of Kurt Cobain in 1994, Dave Grohl created the Foo Fighters, it's name taken from UFO's reported by fighter pilots during the second world war. Grohl was initially the only member, writing and recording the band's first album entirely by himself. The band have released a total of eight studio albums so far, with half of them going on to win the Grammy award of best rock album of that year. The current members of the band are Dave Grohl on lead vocals and guitar, Nate Mendel on bass, Taylor Hawkins on drums, Pat Smear on rhythm guitar and Chris Shiflett on lead guitar. Foo Fighters have had several hiatuses over the years, most recently being in 2013 and 2015 and although there is always speculation to the Foo Fighters splitting up, they always rejoin after a couple of years. The band has had countless successes since their foundation in 1994, winning over 10 Grammys and selling over 12 million albums in the US alone. Most recently, the band headlined the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury on the 24th June 2017. They were originally due to headline it in 2015, but Grohl fell off of a stage in Gothenburg, Sweden, which lead to the cancellation of all remaining European tour dates. This was made up for by the 'broken leg tour' which followed, where Grohl performed in a custom built throne, returning to many of the venues that they had to cancel. The bands latest single 'Run' was released on the 1st June 2017 and is the first released single of their upcoming ninth album, Concrete and Gold, which is scheduled for release on the 15th September 2017.
